While the harsh edges of the Nintendo NES control pad may be memorable for some, others will no doubt prefer a more ergonomic grip on the games they love. With this in mind Retro Fighters have launched a Kickstarter for an all new joypad - a comfortable, yet compatible with the Nintendo NES alternative.
The Retro Fighters NES Controller is a dual PC and Nintendo NES control pad featuring both a USB cable and Nintendo NES connection. Capable of working on both platforms with no additional setup, 8-bit gamers will be able to jump right into the action, whilst PC gamers can take advantage of the additional analogue sticks and shoulder buttons the pad offers. Where these extras are concerned though, they’ve also been wired up to be compatible with the Nintendo NES too allowing new ways to play your favourites.
The Kickstarter is looking for a mere $12,000 in the next few weeks, with a pledge as low as $20 securing one of the control pads. Additional perks are on offer such as t-shirts, posters, and different colour control pads too.
